Where POE treatment sits in the whole-house water path

The UVC stage sits on the main incoming line, after the pretreatment required by the water report and before distribution to the building.

POE INSTALLATION LAYOUT

Reserve the piping and service layout before equipment arrives

A correctly sized reactor still needs a maintainable installation. Plan the treatment order, isolation points, drainage, sampling and removal space before the pipework is fixed.

Translate the selected model into a serviceable assembly. The approved orientation and final valve arrangement remain project-specific, but the access and commissioning logic should be settled early.

  1. 01

Place the reactor after required pretreatment

Map the shutoff, pretreatment stages, reactor, downstream distribution and any approved bypass so the treated-water route is unambiguous.

  2. 02

    Protect removal and drainage clearance

Leave room for fittings, cables, module or reactor removal and controlled drainage without dismantling unrelated treatment equipment.

  3. 03

    Build in commissioning checkpoints

Plan flow and pressure verification, leak inspection, status checks, a representative sampling point and downstream sanitation where required.

Where POE UVC LED Water Treatment Fits

A point-of-entry reactor treats the incoming water line before it is distributed to multiple outlets. The current Agua Topone POE range covers published 6–12 GPM duties for residential whole-house and defined light-commercial applications, with dedicated engineering support available for larger or regulated projects.

Residential whole-house systems

POE treatment adds a final UVC disinfection stage for multiple taps after suitable source-water treatment. Our team sizes the system from the highest realistic simultaneous demand.

Well and rainwater treatment trains

UVC works as the microbial-treatment stage within a complete treatment train. Our team reviews turbidity, iron, manganese, hardness and UVT to match the required pretreatment.

Defined light-commercial duties

Multi-outlet and equipment-supply applications can be matched within the model flow range using peak flow, operating hours, water quality, installation conditions and required documents.

How Agua Topone Matches a POE System

Our application team reviews reactor flow, water quality, pretreatment, controls and maintenance together.

Peak flow and sizing marginOur team sizes from simultaneous demand and matches it with the model's flow, UVT and dose basis.
UVT and fouling riskWe review turbidity, suspended solids, iron, manganese and hardness to match pretreatment to the actual water report.
Hydraulic and installation fitWe align pressure, connection, valves, pretreatment stages, orientation, drainage and service clearance across the complete installation.
Controls, evidence and serviceWe assemble flow sensing, indication, alarm options, service planning, model-specific test evidence and target-market documents for the project.

Model route: start with AGLED-40006 for the published 6 GPM class, compare AGLED-40012 and AGLED-12G for published 12 GPM duties, or review the complete AGLED Series UVC LED water sterilizers. For mounted filtration and UVC on one assembly, compare the VPS filtration + UVC systems.

APPLICATION FAQ

Point-of-Entry UVC LED Questions

Selection, pretreatment and maintenance answers for whole-house and light-commercial POE systems.

How do I choose between the published 6 GPM and 12 GPM POE models?

Our application team reviews the highest realistic simultaneous demand, UVT and water quality, dose basis, pressure, connection size, duty cycle, installation space and target-market documents to recommend the suitable model.

How do UVC LED, filtration and pretreatment work together?

Filtration and conditioning address particles and selected chemical or scale concerns, while UVC provides the microbial-treatment stage. Our team uses the water analysis to match pretreatment and the UVC model as one complete treatment train.

How much pressure drop should the complete installation allow for?

Our team reviews the reactor, valves, fittings, pretreatment stages and real peak flow together, then applies the model flow-and-pressure data with an engineering margin.

How do UVC LED and conventional UV lamp systems differ for this duty?

Both technologies can serve whole-house water-treatment applications. UVC LED can support instant switching, compact layouts and flow-triggered operation, while lamp-based UV remains a valid option for many established duties. Choose by peak flow, dose, UVT, certification, installation and maintenance requirements.

Which models use serviceable modules or status monitoring, and what maintenance applies?

AGLED-40012 uses a replaceable UVC LED module with runtime, fault and end-of-life indications. Our team matches controller and service functions to the ordered configuration and prepares the applicable maintenance plan.

What project data should I send for POE model selection?

Send simultaneous peak flow, operating pattern, UVT or a recent water analysis, inlet pressure, connection size, pretreatment layout, available installation and service space, power requirements, target market and required documents. Our application team will use them to match the reactor and complete treatment train.
