UV Water Sterilizer Installation & Technical Support

Find UV water sterilizer installation checkpoints, product documents, maintenance guidance, troubleshooting steps and the information needed for faster model-specific support.

QUICK SUPPORT ROUTES

Choose the right product resource

Start with the product family, then match every specification and document to the exact model and configuration.

Not sure which route applies? Start from the Applications Hub, then send peak flow, UVT or water analysis, pressure, temperature and installation conditions.

DOWNLOADS & VALIDATION

Model documents

The Technical Resources directory contains current public literature, reports, compliance documents and manuals.

INSTALL & MAINTAIN

Before installation & routine maintenance

Follow the exact model instructions and local requirements.

01

Before installation

  1. Confirm the exact model, rated peak flow, UVT, pressure, water temperature, ambient temperature, fittings, power input and installation orientation.
  2. Install suitable pretreatment when turbidity, hardness, iron or other water conditions are outside the model requirements.
  3. Leave service clearance, protect the unit from freezing or external heat, and keep electrical parts dry.
  4. Use a qualified installer where required and pressure-test the plumbing before relying on the unit for treatment.
  5. Do not transfer one model’s flow, life or validation result to another model.

02

Routine inspection & maintenance

  1. Record the model, serial number, installation date and operating conditions.
  2. Inspect for leaks, damaged cables, loose fittings, alarms and abnormal indicator behavior.
  3. Check pretreatment and reactor fouling according to the water quality and model guide.
  4. Clean or replace only the components identified as serviceable for that model.
  5. Use the model-specific hour rating or controller indication where available; do not apply a universal five-year replacement interval.

SAFETY FIRST

Safety & troubleshooting

Follow the exact model instructions before installation or service.

Safety precautions

  • Disconnect electrical power and isolate water pressure before service.
  • Never look directly at an illuminated UV-C LED or expose skin to direct UV-C.
  • Do not operate a unit with damaged, wet or missing components.
  • Do not open the reactor, driver or power adaptor unless the model instructions authorize the procedure.
  • Install indoors unless the exact product is rated for another environment; keep the unit away from freezing, rain, submersion, excessive heat and explosive vapors.
  • Use the system only within its rated purpose and operating limits. UVC performance does not guarantee a fixed microorganism reduction under every water condition.

FIRST CHECKS

Four common fault routes

01

Indicator or controller is off

Confirm power, flow direction, flow activation and model-specific wiring.

02

Reduced flow

Inspect pretreatment, restrictions and scale.

03

Leak

Isolate water and power immediately, then inspect fittings and seals according to the model guide.

04

Alarm or error

Record the code and operating state before cycling power. If the fault remains, stop treating the unit as a validated disinfection barrier and contact technical support.

INPUT WATER QUALITY

Water conditions affect delivered performance

UV performance depends on light reaching microorganisms. UVT, turbidity, suspended solids, iron, hardness, temperature and flow can affect delivered dose or fouling. Obtain a water analysis when the source is uncertain and select pretreatment for the actual parameters.

Model-specific water quality limits

Use the specification or validation report for the exact model. The limits for UVT, temperature, hardness, turbidity and iron are not universal across the full product range. If the source water falls outside the selected model’s limits—or the limits are unknown—send the water analysis to technical support before installation.

WARRANTY · SPARE PARTS · SERVICE REQUESTS

Confirm service coverage for the exact order

Warranty coverage, term and remedies are governed by the sales documents for the exact order and product. Coverage may be affected by incorrect installation, operation outside published limits, unauthorized modification, incompatible parts, freezing, water ingress, shipping damage or removal of the serial number.

Send the model, serial number, order reference and required document or spare part. Technical support will confirm the applicable file, availability and next step after reviewing the information.

WATCH & LEARN

Technical guidance & factory test videos

The driver guide supports model-specific setup review. The two factory videos show selected pre-shipment checks; they do not replace field installation or troubleshooting instructions, and their test scope does not transfer between models.
