TREATMENT ROLES

Filtration and UVC solve different water-treatment tasks.

VPS brings complementary treatment stages into one serviceable platform. Our application team matches the installed cartridge media and UVC configuration to the project flow, UVT, water quality and operating conditions.

01

PP sediment filtration

Reduces silt, dirt, rust and suspended particles before downstream stages.

02

Carbon filtration

Supports reduction of selected chlorine, taste and odour concerns according to cartridge specification.

03

UVC LED disinfection

Provides microbial treatment through the AGLED-40012 reactor under validated operating conditions.

04

System service plan

Supports planned cartridge replacement, reactor cleaning, module service and pressure checks through an accessible maintenance layout.

HOW THE TRAIN WORKS

Choose the stage count from the treatment objective.

  1. Sediment first: protect carbon and UVC stages from particulate loading.
  2. Add GAC when required: VPS-104 and VPS-204 include the additional granular-carbon stage.
  3. Use CTO as the polishing carbon stage: select the cartridge for the target-water composition and treatment goals.
  4. Disinfect after filtration: the UVC LED stage treats microorganisms but provides no residual disinfection in downstream plumbing.

MODEL SELECTION

Choose the stage count, filter size and enclosure format.

Every layout is available as an open-frame base model or as a protective-cover model identified by the C suffix. Compare the options by peak flow, treatment stages and available service space.

Read VPS process guide
What is the difference between a VPS base model and a C-suffix model?

The base VPS-103, VPS-104, VPS-203 and VPS-204 are open-frame systems. VPS-103C, VPS-104C, VPS-203C and VPS-204C are the corresponding models with a protective cover. Covered models need suitable installation and service space.

How do filtration and the UVC LED stage work together?

Sediment and carbon cartridges address particles and selected taste, odour or chlorine concerns, while the UVC LED reactor provides the microbial-disinfection stage. Together they form a compact, serviceable treatment platform.

Can VPS be used for rainwater or well water?

Yes, when the source-water analysis supports a suitable treatment train. The owner’s manual calls for clear inlet water, including turbidity below 1 NTU, iron below 0.3 ppm, hardness below 120 ppm and UVT above 90%; our application team can match pretreatment and the VPS configuration to the project.

Which flow figure should be used for selection?

At 30 mJ/cm², the Owner’s Manual lists 30 L/min for 10-inch models and 45 L/min for 20-inch models. Our application team combines peak flow, UVT, water quality, pressure and the treatment objective to recommend the configuration.
